Chuck grew up in small town (Fulton, Missouri) but knew that the farm life was not for him.  At that the time the military draft was active and he knew that he would be drafted, so he decided to volunteer to join the United States Marines.  He had two tours of duty in Vietnam and received an honorable discharge as a Sergeant.

After his discharge from the United States Marine Corp his first job was with a PVC extrusion company as a customer service representative.  He quickly recognized that he wanted to try sales and when the first opportunity came about he accepted a sales position with another company with the same pay, but the opportunity he wanted.

This sales position helped him to continue to be recognized in the industry as a professional sales person with opportunities to advance with Rain Bird (District Manager), Champion Sprinklers (National Sales Manager and Irri-Trol (Vice President of Sales).  Then with the sale of Irri-Trol he decided that it was time to open his own independent agency (CH Sales, Inc.).

During these years he was able to obtain both a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Business Administration from Pepperdine University.

When he first opened his agency in 1987 he realized that he wanted to try something a little different in the industry and while in its’ infancy he had the opportunity to represent a landscape lighting company.  After 17 years in the industry the landscape lighting business was becoming a very fragmented business until the advent of LED which has started a whole new market and brought his passion back that was diminishing.

CH Sales, Inc. is still a family business with three generations representing a number of leading manufactures in the landscape, landscape lighting, Irrigation, electrical and outdoor living wholesale markets.

Chuck currently lives in Southern California with his wife Rose and has one son, three grandsons and four great grandchildren.
